Self Portrait

I chose to do a self-portrait for my final painting. I decided to distort my reference image using a thermal filter. I chose the thermal filter because I wanted to try to create an image that showed a vibrant combination of colors that could also be seen as a culmination of emotions. The various colors from the filter can be associated with different emotions. I wanted to try something that was somewhat observational, but also try to use saturated colors.
