Faceless Pranksters
Digital
This collection of prints are all part of one cohesive project, a book entitled Faceless Pranksters, the design of which is inspired by oranges from the south of spain, a lesser-known poem written by Pablo Picasso. Each image is created to mimic the effect of optical illusions; enticing the viewer to look more closely in order to uncover what is being represented, and often giving the illusion of movement as well. Additionally, each line of the poem is distorted to mimic its visual representation on the opposite page. Therefore, text is utilized not only for narrative purposes but as part of the aesthetic whole.
