Studio Art: Graphic Design
My art practice is motivated by the innate desire to understand the human condition - the characteristics, key events, and situations that compose the essentials of human existence, such as birth, growth, emotionality, aspiration, conflict, and mortality. My works are pieces that capture a particular moment or essence in my lifetime, that altogether, visualize the whole image of myself as an artist, who is ever-changing and growing as a human being in this reality of existence. The philosophy behind my art creation is the same one I hold in my daily life in the context of the human condition - what is done with love is done well. I aim for my bodies of work to embody this attitude of passion and purpose as it continues to evolve across my lifetime.
The curriculum offers a strong foundation in the creation, history and theory of the visual arts and design, preparing students for professional careers and graduate studies. Students receive individualized attention from faculty who are committed to teaching excellence in traditional practices, expanded media and trans-disciplinary approaches to art, that emphasizes experimentation, problem-solving and collaboration.
