Alexander Ciarvino

My name is Alexander Ciaravino, I am an alumni of Vestal Senior High School and SUNY Broome. Additionally, I am a proud Marine Corps Veteran and a father. During my childhood, I would say that I was a very curious, creative, and imaginative kid. My nature of creativity stuck with me through high school, but I had no idea where I wanted to take it.

For a while, I thought that I would want to pursue a career in fashion. However, this changed when I joined the military and, during that time, took a road trip to Acadia National Park. These two events changed how I saw life and what was truly important to me. Between the military and my newfound hobby of hiking, I realized that I had been looking for a sense of adventure all along.

Forward to the birth of our beautiful daughter, now three years old (I am twenty-seven). I dusted off my old digital camera from high school and took it on every hike we would go on, to document the adventures my daughter had been on for when she is older. During this time, I realized that photography went hand-in-hand with adventure. This led to not only documenting our adventures, but documenting the beauty of nature. For the benefit of my small, but loving family, I decided to leave the military.

Through the military, I obtained the skills of dedication, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. I now apply all of these traits into being a father, photographer, and graphic designer. I have kept my childhood creativity close to me, and now have the tools to effectively apply it in the world.
