Infographic poster. A0 size, 33-1/8" x 46-13/16"
Specifically targeted at the automotive market, this piece was designed to critique
American consumer culture. There’s an ever-popular concept of “buying American,” but the process of vehicle production is highly globalized, and cars that are perceived as American may actually be less than the sum of its parts. I set to explore this concept with greater depth in this piece.
A highly technical approach keeps the design consistent with industrial design styles, elaborated using thin and precise line work and uniform sans-serif typefaces. As a result, the visual language furthers the message of the poster, using statistics and comparing vehicles from different eras and manufacturers in a clean and concise manner.
