Projects in Sculpture 2 will be developed within an interdisciplinary approach to art making that includes, but is not limited to, Welding wood construction, assemblage, video, design and socially engaged projects, Students are not required to concentrate in a specific medium. Instead, they are encouraged to pursue unconventional research paths and explore relationships between concept, material, and context in unexpected ways. Students develop their sensibilities through research, technical workshops, and critiques while learning to contextualize their work historically, theoretically, and culturally. The goal is to foster independent creative thinking, skill sets, and unique work methodologies.
